Ashfords LLP recently advised Devon and Cornwall Police on its real estate requirements for the G7 Summit in Cornwall.
Led by partner Robin de Wreede and Associate Stephanie Sparks, Ashfords' Real Estate team helped the Police to agree temporary occupational licences for more than 30 sites. The G7 Summit took place in Carbis Bay, Cornwall from 11-13 June 2021 and the team had to work to a tight timetable to ensure the smooth running of the summit. The UK hosted the leaders of the USA, France, Germany, Japan, Italy and the EU during the summit, which focused on Covid-19 recovery and the environment.
Laura Haynes, Head of the Devon & Cornwall Police Estates Department thanked Robin and Stephanie for “outstanding support, teamwork and commitment” adding that they had “gone above and beyond what is normally expected”.
Robin de Wreede added: “We were delighted to assist the Police in this important work and were very pleased to see that the Summit was successfully delivered, particularly bearing in mind the constraints imposed by the pandemic”.
