As part of our Power of Three charity programme, Ashfords will be supporting St Mungo’s until 2026. This charity has been working to end homelessness and rebuild lives for over 50 years, running hostels and emergency accommodation to help those in need get back on their feet.

Over the past 12 months, the firm has taken part in a number of fundraising activities including a Christmas gift collection, quizzes and plenty of daily steps. These fundraising activities have raised a current total of £9,737 for St Mungo’s.

Summer 2024

In June, Ashfords’ Bristol office hosted their annual charity quiz night at The Cosy Club. The successful event welcomed 20 teams of clients within the city and surrounding business community, raising just over £4,700.

Spring 2024

Ashfords’ private wealth team hosted a charity quiz in aid of the charity at The Globe Inn, Tiverton. Each team consisted of our clients and referrers, with 15 in total. To enter the competition, we asked each entrant to make a donation which raised £840 alone. Along with a raffle and independent donations during the night, the event raised just under £1500.

Winter 2023/24

16 teams from Ashfords battled against each other to complete the furthest distance in February in the firms’ Move for Mungo’s challenge. Participants chose their form of movement, which included running, walking, cycling, kayaking or swimming. Each team member was asked to donate to enter, which in total raised £405 for the charity.

Across the firm we collected, wrapped and delivered gifts for St Mungo’s Christmas initiative, which provided nearly 300 presents over the festive period to those who would have otherwise gone without. The presents included essential everyday items including shower gel, hand creams, socks, slippers, gloves, plus chocolate, craft sets and games.

Summer 2023

As St Mungo’s is one of the only homelessness charities to accept pets in their hostels, teams across Ashfords took part in the charity’s Take the Lead challenge throughout August. This event encouraged participants to walk a marathon or an ultra-marathon with their furry friend to raise money for the charity. In total, this event raised £225.
