Join us on Thursday 3 October for a webinar and Q&A with Ashfords’ residential and rural and property disputes teams as they delve into the legal aspects of block and estate management. The session will be split into two parts covering the following points:

Estate / service charge arrears

Presented by Sophie Michaelides and Lizzie Schulz, who will:

  • Explain the difference between service charges and estate charges
  • Guide you through the process of issuing demands and pursuing arrears for both types of charges and what to do about admin charges
  • Outline the consequences of non-payment and when to instruct a solicitor
  • Present a brief case study on a successful forfeiture case

Sales / legal enquiries

Presented by Carl Langley, who will:

  • Give an overview of the LPE1 and FME1 forms
  • Explain when key legal documents such as a deed of covenant, notice of assignment, notice of charge, certificate of compliance etc are required and the formalities of using them
