Biography

Alex is an associate in the Real Estate team, specialising in work within the Energy & Resource Management sector.

Alex has a particular focus on the real estate aspects of solar farms, battery storage projects and aerobic digestion plants. Alex regularly advises developers on acquiring new sites for energy projects, advising on option agreements and the DD aspects of those acquisitions. Alex has also acted for landowners in energy projects and regularly provides support on the real estate aspects of the acquisition and sale of already operational energy projects. 

Alex also deals with general landlord and tenant work on behalf of both tenants and landlords, particular public sector landlords, in the granting of leases and property management work such as licences for alterations, licences to assign and renewal leases.

Alex also has experience in real estate finance matters and extensive experience in the SIPP/SSAS sector having previously managed the property team within a leading SIPP/SSAS for a number of years.

Alex qualified as a chartered legal executive in April 2021 whilst working at a top city law firm in their Bristol office after many years of experience within law firms and in house. She cross-qualified as a solicitor in October 2022 whilst working at Ashfords.

  • Anaerobic digestion plant developer: Advising on entering into option agreements and leases and the DD aspects of a number of AD sites
  • Renewable energy investment company: Advising on the acquisition of a portfolio of operational rooftop solar projects on schools and other community building
  • Renewable energy investment company: Advising on the acquisition of a portfolio of operational small scale wind farm projects
