Richard Brindley

Trainee Solicitor

Biography

Richard is a third-seat trainee solicitor in the disputed wills and trusts team.

Richard assists the team in advising private individuals in relation to matters arising out of contentious wills, trusts and estates including will validity disputes, undue influence claims, 1975 act claims and estate administration disputes.

Prior to this, Richard completed his second seat in the family team supporting fee earners with private family law matters including divorce and financial remedy matters, cohabitation and private law children disputes. Richard initially joined the firm in the Real Estate team where he assisted with transactions for landowners, developers and the public sector. These included freehold and leasehold sales, site acquisition and disposals for development as well as the drafting of leases, overage deeds and deeds of easement relating to the land and management company transfers of completed development sites.

Richard completed the GDL at Nottingham Law School before undertaking the LPC at ULaw in Exeter. Prior to studying to law, Richard worked as an actor and theatre director in London having trained at the Royal Academy of Music. He went on to co-found his own professional theatre company, which tours productions across the UK. He has also previously worked for the Ministry of Justice and as a paralegal in Shipping Law.
