UK law firm Ashfords has appointed Sam Brown as a partner in its London corporate team, specialising in venture & growth capital fundraisings, international M&A and private equity, joint ventures and equity incentivisation work.
Sam’s arrival will complement Ashfords' current venture capital offering, in which the firm has extensive experience working with the UK investor community powering innovation and growth, as well as overseas investors looking to invest in the UK.
Sam has a wealth of experience in SaaS cloud computing, data and fintech, and advising high growth companies and investors across multiple sectors. He has significant expertise in guiding founders and management teams through key strategic decisions and business challenges as they scale. He joins Ashfords from Ernst & Young.

Over the past year, the corporate team has advised on multiple transactions in the venture and growth capital space. This has included acting for BGF on the exit of cyber security company Garrison Technology to Everfox, acting for space tech scale-up SatVu on its Series A2 funding round as well as advising climate tech company Fathom on its exit to global reinsurance giant Swiss Re.
